Pitch Top 50 Brands 2017: Be part of the power list…

The 7th edition of Pitch Top 50 Brands is scheduled for July 2017. One of the most coveted industry awards; it was formulated with an objective to unveil the top 50 brands in 10 categories. The idea is to acknowledge the impactful, efficient and commendable marketing practices being upheld by brands. The process aims to identify the best approaches with respect to idea and innovation, consumer connect, communication impact, execution and results.

The various categories for Pitch Top 50 Brands for which nominations can be submitted include: Social Contributors, Impactful Debuts, Evergreens, Globetrotters, Resurgents, Bottom of the Pyramid, Master Connectors, Digital Strategists, Disruptors and Affluent. It must be noted that there is no fee involved in nominating for Pitch top 50 Brands. After an extensive research consisting universe of brands, top 300 brands will be announced by the mid of May. The research will have a mixed method which includes quantitative and qualitative methods. The final 150 brands will be evaluated by the esteemed jury to discuss, debate and come out with the Top 50 brands in India.

Every year Pitch Top 50 Brands hosts a jury that represents an array of eminent jurors across all sectors. This includes CMOs, VPs and Marketing Heads from multinationals, large advertisers and media agencies.  This year the jury will be led by Sanjay Behl, CEO – Lifestyle Businesses, Raymond Limited. He will be accompanied on the jury by Sanjay Gupta, Vice President – Marketing, Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Operating Officer, YU Televentures, Vikrant Mudaliar, Chief Marketing Officer, Yatra.com and many more dignified personalities from the industry.

The physical jury meet of the prestigious Pitch top 50 Brands will be held on 20th June 2017 and the award night will take place in July 2017.

Nominations are open to all brands / organizations having their operations in India.

Top 3 Digital Marketing Trends to Watch Out For in 2017

Digital is fast overtaking the traditional advertising mediums like Print, Radio and Television. As data becomes easily accessible and with smartphones making inroads to tier 1 and tier 2 cities, the digital advertising pie is witnessing aggressive growth in India.

As per the recently released Pitch Madison Advertising Report 2017, the digital advertising market had an impressive growth of 43% in 2016. From the last five years it has been growing at more than 30% every year. In fact, Digital is the only medium that has grown more than the earlier projections and the only sector that was not much affected by demonetization. The Digital advertising market has now crossed the Rs 7,300 crore mark.

The report also highlights how the consumption of Digital video content and hence spends on online video advertising have skyrocketed in 2016. The continued growth of Digital is fuelled by mobile, online video and social media, which are increasingly attracting more advertising investment.

Pitch Madison Advertising Report forecasts top trends of Digital Marketing in 2017:

  1. Spends on video ads are expected to show huge gains: Video ads are likely to be more popular in 2017 and will account for a major share of the overall ad spends in the digital space. This is largely driven by higher Internet speeds and an increase in mobile advertisements.
  2. Programmatic buying is likely to get more traction: Programmatic Buying has seen some traction in 2016 this is likely to get a little steam in 2017 due to its cost effectiveness and focused target audience reach as the murmurs on lack of transparency die down.
  3. Spends on Mobile advertising will increase: With more users on mobile, spends will be strongly focused on this platform; and whether it is Search, Social or Video, lion’s share of all ad impressions will be delivered on the mobile device.

It’s time for season 8 of exchange4media’s Indian Digital Media Awards and TechManch Conference.
